Talented Lineup Set for Old Drum Open Mic

WARRENSBURG, MO (May 27, 2016) -Warrensburg, Missouri's Old Drum Open Mic is back again for your entertainment. The event will be held on Thursday, June 2, in the back room of Tranquility Shop from 6-8 p.m.

Performers are Clifton Adams, Scott Umphrey, Phil Wagner, Mark Pearce, Julia Landrum, and Dave Whisker. Each will perform original work of different forms of literature.

Clifton Adams will read from a section of his novel, “The Symbiotic Club,” in an installment called, “Military Games IV.” Adams will also present a piece called “The Value of a Coke.” Scott Umphrey will share “Wine 101.” Phil Wagner will perform folk and bluegrass style songs. Mark Pearce and Julia Landrum will read poetry, with Landrum also performing prose works. Dave Whisker will wrap up the night presenting part five of “The Prophet on the Wall.”

Old Drum Open Mic is held on the first Thursday of each month. Anyone who would like to present original and creative literature is encouraged to attend. Notify the Old Drum Open Mic Facebook page if you want to perform, and there will be accommodations made for you to present your work. Walk-ins are accepted if time is available.
