ConnectKC26 region-direct bus service has a location in Lee’s Summit, a convenient 40-mile drive from Warrensburg. This service will transport riders to Fan Fest, which can connect in turn connect them to Stadium Direct service on game days. Celebrate the Beautiful Game

The Summer of Soccer Window Decorating Contest, hosted by the Warrensburg Chamber of Commerce in collaboration with the Summer of Soccer Community Committee, invites local businesses to take part in a fun, community-driven initiative celebrating the World Cup. Businesses are encouraged to decorate their storefront windows with creative, soccer-themed displays that highlight team spirit, community pride, and the excitement of the sport while keeping designs family-friendly and visible to the public. Open to all businesses — not just Chamber members — the contest aims to boost local engagement and support area shops. Participants can sign up between May 11-29, complete their displays by June 9, and submit photos for public voting, which runs from June 10-15. The winner will be announced on the evening of June 15, aligning with the first Kansas City match and adding to the overall excitement of the season.

Warrensburg Main Street invites you to come gather on the 208 Marshall St green space near Quimby Pipe Organ and the Warrensburg Police Station on June 19th for their June Summer Movie Night! Make sure to bring your blankets and chairs and join us for a fun filled evening for the whole family! The movie will be She’s The Man to celebrate our Summer of Soccer! Main Street will also be partnering with Checker Tavern to offer wristbands for purchasing alcohol during the screening. You won’t want to miss out on this amazing event!

Warrensburg Parks & Recreation will also host a pickleball tournament on July 3 to kick off Freedom Festival Weekend. The Warrensburg Freedom Festival will take place on July 4 at Grover Park Baptist Church, offering a fun and festive way for the community to celebrate Independence Day. The event will feature a live concert, family-friendly activities, and a fireworks display at dusk, creating an exciting evening for all ages. Hosted in partnership with local organizations, the festival is designed to bring residents and visitors together for a memorable Fourth of July celebration. More details to come!

To kick off your trip, stop by the Warrensburg Visitors Center (205 N. Holden St.), the Warrensburg Chamber of Commerce (100 S. Holden St.), Warrensburg Main Street (125C N. Holden St.), or participating hotels between June 1st and July 19th and grab a printed passport full of special offers around the Burg! Collect stamps along the way as you explore each business. UCM Jennies Soccer Camp

Get your practice in with the University of Central Missouri Jennies! The UCM Soccer Residential Camp will be held July 14-16 at the UCM campus. Open to boys and girls in fourth through eighth grades, this camp focuses on individual technique, tactics, and development with a low player-to-coach ratio. High-level training sessions are geared toward all levels of players, who will each receive individual attention and feedback from UCM Head Coach Lewis Theobald, plus UCM assistant coaches and players. Additionally, the Elite Prospect/ID Camp will be held Saturday, July 18, at Jennies Field at the USM South Recreation Campus. This is a fantastic opportunity for aspiring women’s soccer players to get an up-close look at UCM women’s soccer. Training includes technical and tactical sessions, small-sided games, and 11v11 games. Each camper will receive individual attention and feedback from Coach Theobald, UCM assistant coaches, and UCM players. Register online!

Warrensburg Parks & Recreation

Youth soccer registration opens for the fall season on Monday, June 1, at the West Park Soccer Complex (35 SW 101 Road). Soccer season begins Aug. 15 and runs through Nov. 7. Learn more and register today!
